  • Everything you expect, but not to see a public inscription on a palace overlooking the Grand Canal. The building was the furnace and the shop and the vetheria Salviati and in 1924 during a renovation, in the central part, was placed a large mosaic in the Art Nouveau style of a woman, a gold inscription of the company, and, below, the figures of four naked women. Palace on the whole very simple, but which still attracts attention.

  • The facade mosaic shimmering golden rich with his image on the façade of the building cannot but affect and affect those transits the vaporetto on the Grand Canal. In fact, the great mosaic of 1924, in pure art nouveau glassware made by Salviati, owner of the Palace, are a poster of skill of this company. The architectural beauty of the building is not excellent, also to produce fairly recent-era of the early 20th century, the only news is related to the operation of the historic glass furnace that had its showrooms for years. As evidenced by rows preceding the review had for its object the vision from the Canal (once I looked at the courtyard) but I think that inside there is nothing particular to highlight.

  • I only had the chance to look at this cute little palazzo on a vaporetto ride.
  • Palazzo Salviati is a Venetian civil building located in the Dorsoduro sestiere and overlooking the Grand Canal between Palazzo Barbaro Wolkoff and Palazzo Orio Semitecolo Benzon. The building was built as a shop and furnace of the Salviati winery between 1903 and 1906, designed by the architect Giacomo Dell'Olivo. The company was founded in 1859 by Antonio Salviati. In 1924 the building underwent a major renovation, which involved the superelevation of a floor and the placement of a large mosaic in the facade. The facade, looking rather simple, would be devoid of any interest if it were not for the presence of the large central mosaic, on whose sides open monophores in full. The same pattern is also taken up on the upper floor, which also sees the insertion of a central fork. The ground floor is dominated by three large arches.

  • Founded in 1859 by Antonio Salvati Glass Workshop "Sage", built this building in the beginning of the 20th century, here were located a glass shop and a furnace. In 1924 a major renovation was carried out of the building, which included raising the floor and putting the iconic mosaic on the façade. In general the façade of the building has a maximum of clean lines and would hardly be distinguished by something from the surrounding buildings, if it was the large central mosaic, with single round windows on the sides.

  • Due to the reconstruction of the Palazzo Dario drew the attention of the Palazzo Salviati. Palazzo Salviati goes its façade of the Grand Canal and is located next to the Palazzo Dario. To see this you need to reach the Palace at vaparreto (Vaporetto) to Santa Maria del Giglio stop.
