  • Long thought to go or not, but decided to stop by. The Museum was relatively inexpensive and it was a lot of interesting things. It was interesting to look at shipbuilding, conventional ships first, then harder. There are models of modern warships, even model cruise liner. In General, photo better. While part of the exposition was closed, we had 5 floors. On the 5 floor collection of seashells. With children advise Museum. My husband liked it too.

  • While there is a wide variety of naval memorabilia and I found most of it interesting, I also found it a bit disappointing. Given Venice's incredible maritime history, I think I just expected more. Th...  more »
  • It seems a good way to know more about the history of Venice, the city of water, by visiting this naval history museum. The main building has a total of 3 floors of exhibitions, covering the history o...  more »

  • Well, it's only 5 euro to get in. I ended up in here when I really wanted to go to the other arsenale museum. There are a few interesting boats like a funerary barge, the King's yacht, a torpedo boat, and some gondolas of course. Most of the vessels were made in the previous century. It's worth visiting only if you're interested in naval history of the past 100 years, otherwise there are better places to go
  • Part of the Arsenale complex. Museum over 3 floors charting history of Venetian navy and latterly Italian navy. Very interesting.
  • Awesome museum. As soon as I stepped through the entrance, the hull of a giant torpedo boat greeted me! There's also a massive steam boiler too. Great for maritime enthusiasts, naval buffs, people who are into Venetian history and anyone who likes technology and big engineering in general.
  • Would recommend a visit, lots of boats to view and it's a quiet area near lovely cafe
  • We are really looking forward to going here so we couldn't figure out where the door was to get in . The sign said that they were open and we notice that your family's walking around not able to find the entrance either . This could potentially be a five star place if people could find the way in
