  • It is a museum that is appreciated: is located in a church, it has a magnificent collection of instruments (violins, cellos, violas, etc.) exposed in a pleasant way with classical music in the background. It has the perfect size for a very nice technical stopover.

  • This former church is now a small museum displaying musical, mostly string, instruments crafted over the past three hundred years. We found it quite by accident while heading to the Accademia bridge. ...  more »
  • Free Museum, collection of musical instruments, musical souvenirs. Do you sell tickets to concerts of the Venetians.

  • Lots musical instruments that are 2/3/400 years old including this harpsichord piano. Loads of violins and displays of how they were made and also the tools that were used. An old workshop has been reconstructed but you can only view it behind a glass door
  • The Museo della Musica is located in San Maurizio church, about halfway between the Accademia bridge and Piazza San Marco. It's a pleasant detour, either to get out of the rain or away from the crowds, and admission is free. There is an interesting collection of baroque stringed instruments, and music of the period also plays in the background creating a conducive atmosphere.
  • A small, interesting exhibit. Entry is free, which makes it a perfect quick experience if you have an hour to spare in San Marco.
  • This is a free entry museum with very nice artifacts in exhibition. Is an old church, so the mer building is an indulgence. There's a shop inside also.
  • This is a small museum hidden in the streets of Venice. What got me to go in is the wonderful music playing inside. The collection of violins (sorry, I'm a former violinist) is amazing and you can see the whole process of how a violin is made in a workshop. If you are in Venice make sure to visit this, it will not take you longer than 20 minutes to go through it.
