  • Go early in the morning. What a pleasure for the eyes! The Pescheria, there are fish, shellfish and seafood, to the Erberia, these are flowers, fruits and vegetables ultra fresh from the Islands around. We regret not having a kitchen to try recipes that give you kindly traders (ah! the small artichokes fried...). To do the tour of les halles, look at the top of the columns, the shape of the pavers, listen to the cries of vendors... And then go drink a small glass of ombra or a Spritz in one of the nearby bars, sipping some drinks!

  • Best they can visit the market in the morning, because at that time you can stroll about the fish market. Sea creatures of all kinds is offered at surprisingly reasonable prices. A nice place to get an overview of the mostly local offer.

  • Just a great place to go and see..When we went the amount of flies and bugs landing on and burrowing in the meat and fish would make me not want to purchase any meats but the fruits were a deal!
  • A must visit tourist attraction in Venice. A lovely place with lots of small luxury shops but there are souvenir shops as well. Walking here in the early morning before the buzz was really amazing.
  • It is small. Not huge. If you compare to victoria market. Actually since venice has lots shops, the one that they sell in the market is actually similar. But price wise, compare with the shops maybe a bit cheaper but not all. Mostly all the same.
  • Bought a bunch of huge oriental lilies and carried it all the way back to my room near San Mark's Piazza..smiling all the ways..the smell was heavenly in my room for the whole week I was there..
  • It's a nice historical place. Often very crowded. Prices are a bit high
