  • We visited here on a Wednesday at lunchtime because of it's iconic status and quite frankly we felt mugged! 17 euros each for a middling bellini with a small dish of olives. Tax then added to the bill...  read more »
  • Arrived at bar mid morning, no seats shown to a characterless room on first floor, slow service with pompous waiters busy doing nothing, felt not welcome and left.
  • Worth at least a pop for a historical bar-after all Hemingway and Orson Welles were people of the House drink, the Bellini! Small and filled with nice but. The Bellini is simple, refreshing and tasty-€ 17.00!! Lol

  • If you're looking for the latest shiniest trendy place then this might not be the place for you. It's old school glamour with a hint of shabby chic and it doesn't carry the title of "legendary" lightly. To understand it best don't just turn up to look around or for one Bellini. Set aside time, take a book or, my favourite, do some writing, have a couple of drinks, a spot of lunch and enjoy the spectacle of unobtrusive attention followed by silver service with your food. Oh and try the martini, it's pretty close to perfect.
  • We only went for drinks so can't comment on food, but from the hype we were expecting grander things. For the very high prices, atmosphere was average. Venue could do with something more. Drinks were fine to be fair. Couldn't fault the service, friendly staff. Overall I was a little underwhelmed with the place.
  • Drab interior, desperately in need of remodelling if it wants to hold a candle to its long-since-faded past glory. The prices are so extortionate that it's a joke. I wouldn't mind if the cocktails were either sizeable or tasty but, sadly, neither seemed to be the case. We sat in disbelief, trying to see what the appeal was but truly couldn't find a redeeming feature.
  • The Bellini was born here, and if you like them this is a must if you are in Venice. Quite pricey, but very properly attired wait staff are very attentive and responsive to your drink requests. Next we are in Venice, we will definitely be stopping in again for another. Must be properly dressed as I did see during our short visit a patron asked to leave as they had on shorts and a tank top.
  • I don't get the bad reviews. Yeah it's insanely expensive. Spent 200 euros on 3 person lunch. Food was very good. Service was impeccable. Had to zip back to my hotel to put on long pants
