  • The Church simply will leave you breathless, but too bad that we could visit only partially while being subject to restructuring

  • Once you have walked through Campo San Stefano, there is a narrow street at the far end, several outdoor restaurants and shops, and on the right hand side is the imposing church of Chiesa Santo Stefan...  more »
  • Located at one end of the field of the same name, was founded in the 13th century, and has in its history with a long list of episodes of violence, reason by which had to be devoted up to six times. Without being as spectacular as other churches in the city, presents details very interesting, as its roof shaped keel of boat and, above all, the sacristy where, among other works, we can admire three paintings by Tintoretto. It is open from Monday to Saturday, from 10.30 to 16.30 hours. It is closed on Sundays. The entry price is €3 adults and €1,50 reduced ticket. It can be accessed with the Chorus Pass, which for €12 the full ticket €8 reduced ticket or €24 the family ticket, allows us to access 18 churches dependent on the Patriarchate of Venice.

  • Fantastic piazza to sit and watch the world go by. Venice can get uber crowded in summer and this Piazza is both large enough to absorb the wandering crowds and sequestered enough to feel peaceful and old world. We were travelling with a group of tween boys who brought a soccer ball with them. I had found out that this was a place where locals would play soccer. Soon after we arrived it was 'game on' with Italians, Americans, Polish, Norwegian, Czech and UK kids...all having fun while we sat nearby sipping Italian wine and eating amazing food.
  • So wonderful, I can visit this place everyday and I will never be bored!
  • Beautiful church on the inside and on the outside!
  • amazing architecture at the entrance
  • Excellent restaurant in the middle of the Square. This area is packed in good weather. went for dinner (no cover charge, but there was a service charge) Prices are moderate (still cheaper than eating in Switzerland), but stick with Seafood as it's their specialty.
