  • The church is currently closed and has not been used as a church for some time, for those of you hoping to find interesting information regarding Marco Polo, as this is his final resting place, don't bother, couldn't find anything!
  • A quiet corner in Venice, good for a sit down and people watch when you've been walking around all day
  • Since March 24 the church of San Lorenzo is reopened to the public as Ocean Space. Launched in the former church of San Lorenzo Ocean Space opens a new front line in ocean thinking to dissolve critical boundaries between the water and the land, and traditional single-disciplinary approaches to both. Ocean Space is a collaborative platform for change to radically reimagine how we see, live and treat the oceans.
  • A historic place. Lots of tourist.
  • Amazing exhibition space, an incredible double sided altar and fantastic high ceilings very sensitively restored and back in use.
