  • In an airy and genuine corner of Venice little frequented by tourists, the Church of San Giovanni in Bragora will welcome you and surprise for the quality of the works on the inside, including quote at least the shovel with the baptism of Jesus by Cima da Conegliano (1494), the risen Christ of Alvise Vivarini (1498) and a triptych by Bartolomeo Vivarini (1478).

  • Pala to Cima da Conegliano splendid with a Crown of Blue Angels: pala of the choir; of the works of almost all the great Venetian painter of the 14th to the 16th (Antonio and Bartolomeo Vivarini, Bissolo, a pupil of Titian, a pretty wooden Pietà, a Madonna venetobyzantine of the 14th, a polyptych of Jacobello dei fiori), the polychrome Byzantine, very nice interior architecture, external brick façade to the simple form on a "popular" enough campo again... the problem are... pretty random visiting hours and thus the baptistery where Vivaldi was anointed (with a facsimile the manuscript of this baptism)

  • Charming church on the quiet campo of the same name in one part of the Castello away from the crowds of tourists, only the most curious grow their walk so far here. It is not often open unlike the churches of the center of Venice, but she deserves the respect due to its antiquity, indeed its origin dates back to the 9th century and Gothic style in the 15th century. Beautiful paintings of Alise and Bartolomeo Vivarini and Palma the younger. Note that Vivaldi was baptised there in 1,678.
