In particular, an ancient Byzantine marble baptismal font and column green of the 6th century, brought to Venice after the Fourth Crusade. D'Annunzio mentions in the novel '' fire. • The Church is located in the sestiere of Santa Croce on a pretty wooded campo where people sit on benches which are rather rare in Venice. Its origin dates back to the 13th century but it suffered several restorations, it is especially famous for its beautiful ceiling of wood the shape of nave of boat; It has some interesting paintings of Veronese, Palma the younger, and Lotto. Access charge (3 euros) but it is recommended to purchase the "Pass Chorus" (12 euros) which gives access to the 15 churches among the most interesting of the city.

  • Nice and unusual church, with a mixture of styles. In the center of Santa Croce, which still maintains a characteristic and not too touristic atmosphere!
  • I've lived here 20 years ago. Still nice!
  • Visit pay 3 euros. Also take some time to take a break on one of the benches of the small annex square, which teems with life local (children who play ball or the scooter, dogs who meet, couples of little old men who take a sun bath,..)
