  • I have a deep admiration for the history of Santa Luzia, and devote it to were the Church of San Geremia in order to visit the altar where the body of Santa Luzia. When this young Saint, protector of the eye diseases, died with the severed head, and throughout history, his body was brought to Venice and from 1860 is in the Church of San Geremia. It was very exciting this visit to church, but I left with the feeling that the body of Santa Luzia should go back to the place where she was born in Syracuse in Sicily, where there is a Shrine dedicated to her and where is the head inside the statue of Santa (just tell the story).

  • One of the many beautiful churches of Venice, located close to the station. Besides the beauty of the Interior of the temple is nice even the presence of the relics of martyr Lucia.

  • And just a few minutes from the station on a street that in moles travel x reach Venice's most famous destinations. qst church dedicated to Saint Jeremiah actually is better known because it houses the mortal remains of Saint lucia and everything inside ... refers to her. Very beautiful church is definitely worth a visit and then strange thing (especially in Venice) l entrance and recommended free.

  • Beautiful church worth a visit especially to see other parts of Venice other than just San Marco square
  • It is a nice church. Nice architectural structure and great location. Also interesting for the body of Saint Lucy Nevertheless it lacks the special character and the masterpieces that we find in almost any church in Venice
  • Nice turist destianation
  • Another beautiful church in Venice, what is special about this church it has the body of St. Lucy ( patron saint of eyes ) that that is on displayed in a glass sarcophagus, also there is a gift shop at the back of the church.
  • Though it is not well known like St Mark Church, this one is worth to add in any walking tour in Venice.
