  • Impressive 16th century Church in the Renaissance style. The beautiful façade is the work of Andrea Palladio. The Interior has a single nave with six large chapels. Interesting also the adjoining convent with its two cloisters. Complete the complex and elegant Bell Tower very similar to that of San Marco.

  • a church is not known, but that includes painting and sculpture jewelry. Including: ' Madonna and child ' by Antonio da Negroponte that encompasses and exceeds the canons Venetian Gothic (1450 ca.); in a very peaceful part of Venice .... for those days when you need silence. the

  • Wishing to enjoy the art of the Church suggest storing 50-minute cent coins, as in every Chapel paid illumination (some true cost 30 cents, but major works-for 50). The most amazing-Madonna Negroponte. She sits on a throne on the beautiful meadow, a sandy beach and the sea in which Angels float. It is floating in the sea rather than fly in the sky. This has nowhere to be seen.

  • Wend your way through the narrow alleys to visit this architectural gem which houses some amazing artworks.
  • A massive church in a quiet cute area off tourist beat. They love Depeche Mode here
  • I felt very at home in this wonderful church. I hope I can fine it again don't forget to investigate the closters.
  • The church has a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere with very harmonious proportions. Depending on which version of history you believe, it was designed around De harmonia mundi's principle of three as a magical number or around the number seven. In either (or neither) case, the spacious and light-filled interior makes it quite extraordinary. Several paintings and one of the chapels have been restored by the wonderful Save Venice Inc.. There are several notable paintings but my favorite was the Virgin and Child Enthroned, by Fra Antonio da Negroponte. The color, details, and overall serenity are a wonderful complement to the church's general atmosphere. You can pay 0.20 euros to have a light on for about three minutes. While it's not absolutely necessary, it does let you enjoy the work more, and the funds help preserve the art.
  • For me, this church (monastery) is one of the top locations of Venice, forget the crowded downtown, this forgotten (or at least not that much visited) place is just an island of silence and beauty. Just enter the majestic church, or the convent garden, and you will be transported to another world... Plus, just by a chance, you can visit a small chapel only to realise that you are facing a masterpiece of Giovanni Bellini...
