  • Chiesa degli Scalzi is one of the most beautiful baroque churches in Venice. The interior decoration is astounding and then the frescoes by Tiepolo. Examine and don't regret it.

  • Before taking the train and eventually return home, a visit to this church next to the station is a must. Like all in Venice, is rich in history and is a fine example of Baroque architecture.

  • The Church is one of the finest examples of Baroque. It's the only Venetian church with facade designed by Giuseppe Sardi, in Carrara marble which overlooks the Grand Canal and rich in 14 statues, though now one is missing. The Interior has a single nave with six side chapels (Chapel of the crucifix, Holy family, St. Sebastian, of St John the Baptist, Saint Teresa of Avila, St. John of the cross) is really imposing and majestic. Maintains work of great value attributed to Baldassarre Longhena, Giovanbattista Tiepolo, Ettore Tito, Domenico and Giuseppe Valeriani, Giuseppe Torretti, fra Giuseppe Pozzo. Besides the Church worth a visit the garden-garden attached.

  • 5 stars for being the most scenic bridge after Rialto bridge is currently under renovation at the time of writing (March 2016). Steps are a little steep for the less mobile and fragile but otherwise it's a very lively bridge suitable for selfies / wefies or just to sit down and take in the view and atmosphere -- doing that with the other 3 bridges will attract the wrath of passer-bys as you will be in their way!
  • this place is completely disgusting. i left homevthe next day with a severe pain in my upper peg-leg
  • The bridge does what it is for and in itself is quite 'nice'. However it is slightly steeper and higher than others. For everyone who is fit that's not a problem, but for those who have walking difficulties it is grueling. Instead of crossing it twice (or more) a day to catch a waterbus outside the station, we walked to the Piazzale Roma - over two smaller bridges - to get into town.
  • Stunning bridge connecting the city, with good views over the river.
  • The other beautiful bridge of Venice, the other being Rialto bridge.
