  • We saw this construct when we did the gondola ride; It's just a house in the middle of so many others. We only just discovered why the gondolier showed us.

  • Shown to us by our gondolier, this house has a plaque on its wall indicating it to be a home of Marco Polo and is easier seen from the canal than by foot. If I understood correctly it is or has been r...  read more »
  • You half expect the house of such an important traveller to be prominent and famous but instead it is marked only by a small plaque and is located in a discreet square close to the Teatro Maliban. No ...  read more »
  • We had lunch at 1.15 & whilst busy found a table easily enough. Serves unpretentious food served in a friendly atmosphere & great informal service. I had beef carpaccio & home made prawn ravioli in butter sauce. Both were excellent. We had 3 starters , 3 main courses & 3 glasses of wine for 100€. The 19€ 3 course set menu looked great value & no cover or service charge. Definitely I'd recommend this place without hesitation.
  • I asked for directions to go somewhere else and the waiter, Leo, very nice and charming so I decided to go in and stay. Excellent Bellini's and the caprese was delicious. Charged my phone and got free wifi. Recommend!
  • I have to say this place really surprised me, it is one the few places I have had a really good first impression, the way they treat it us was great, even though it is a formal restaurant they were nice enough to let us just have a few drinks on the "aperitivo" hour, we ended up having a bottle of presecco (20€) and they offer some nice bruschettas on the house. Their prices are really good considering it is Venice and that you are in a very touristic area.
  • Good food, nice staff, normally priced for Venezia.
  • We went here for dinner at 10:40 after a few drinks just to have a quick bite. As soon as we sat down we were reminded that they close at 11 and we can't order anything other than pizza. We sit down and order pizza and then we are told there is additional 2 euro cover charge. We say that's fine and the waitress makes a face at us and strutts away. Then out pizza comes, it's pretty good. The other male waiter comes by and asks us if we need water and is very kind and brings us some. He then brings us chilli flakes etc. then the lady comes again and I ask for cappuccino and she makes that face again and unforgivingly bringse coffee. She was quite nice to all other local guests. So if you are. TourIst and want to be treated nice I d stay away. Food was good but not worth the insult.
