  • This is one of those lovely relaxed little piazzas in Venice that is away from the major crowds and worth looking for. In my view it's the wandering round Venice that really make the city special, rat...  more »
  • Big Venetian standards, square with a traditional structure. Around the perimeter of the square are located the Palazzo and the Church of Santa Maria Formosa with the expressive façade and a dominant feature of the square is the Baroque bell tower. Very cozy area on a sunny day. Nearby there is an interesting Museum-Palazzo Grimani.

  • Excellent opportunity for a coffee and rest, on his journey in Venice. Visit the Church of Santa Maria Formosa is helpful, to meet the architectural solutions, especially the internal beams in the main ship of the Church, the common other churches, a way to prevent their side walls could fall.

  • We loved it. Located just off chic Santa Maria Formosa square at the corner of two quiet canals, easy walking distance to Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's. Exquisite decor, helpful staff, internet. No 24 hour reception, so get there before 7 pm or make arrangements. Paolo, the manager, is very helpful. We loved it.
