Splendid palace which we see again the ceilings and two museums very interesting. Of modern art, which has Italian artists whose of arte povera international and that of the East, extremely rich. The only downside being probably the little space and explanation dedicated to the objects of the Museum of the East. Very nice air conditioning in August.

This baroque-style Palace houses the International Gallery of modern art, both painting and sculpture. It has 3 floors, after visiting the exhibition sets, in other works the Museum of Oriental art and other road show this time includes pieces by David Hockney. I do not remember if audio guide, had in general museums have a few cartons into each room with the same description. Unfortunately, there are no material in Spanish at the bookstore, nothing, just a guide of Venice, but the Museum, painters, sculptors, nothing. Anyway I liked much in a beautiful Palace and unique works.

The museum has some masterpieces to exhibit: Klimt, Bonnard, Klee, De Chirico, Miro, Picasso, Calder, Rodin, Arp.. but the highlight was the second floor with D.Hockney. 82 Portraits and 1 Still-Life!...  more »

  • Fantastic Palazzo gallery. Collection of 20th century art almost on a par with the Guggenheim, but far more spacious and fewer people. In fact, this was a ocean of calm in an overcrowded city. Also contains a floor of Oriental art, which has enough Japanese weaponry to equip a small army, in addition to ceramics, a beautiful chess set, and various other objects. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
  • The collection is nice, the palace is awesome. Be shure to stop at the coffee shop that has a very nice view on the grand canal. Also don't forget to visit the oriental art collection on the last floor: it's amazing expecially for the japanese arms enthusiasts.
  • This building is absolutely stunning, if you're on a boat/gondola you really need to take time to look at the details!
  • It could be brilliant if it has more art to see. I was loving the museum when I realised it finished. The number of art is minimal for the price we pay.
  • Great museum. Splendid exhibition CHANEL: Donna che legge. We went back a second time. One drawback though, there was no catalogue for this incredible exhibition. And the staff in the bookstore should be more knowledgeable!

Where to stay in Venice

Save money and avoid tourist crowds by booking your accommodation outside the historical center of Venice. Central Venice is full of picturesque canals and narrow lanes, but it is also extremely noisy and hectic throughout the day and late into the night. You can explore the ancient city's charms at your own pace by staying at a comfortable B&B or small hotel located in the city's residential suburbs. To stay close to the finest beaches and restaurants, check into a hotel on the island of Lido, the city's famous seaside resort.
