  • Just for the sake of "Assunta" (Ascension of Mary) Titsian here worth a visit, and there is still so little and other picturesque masterpieces, and interesting sculptural works, and yes even the Church itself, i.e. its architecture, space and atmosphere it leave strong impressions.

  • Awesome place. Lot of famous people were buried here. And lot of paintings inside. Must see in Venice
  • It's a beautiful basilica and it's very peaceful here. Above the high altar you will find a beautiful painting of Titian. And more painting by him in this Basilica. You will even find his grave here. It's on the left side of the high altar.
  • This splendid church with its cathedral-like proportions and varied art collection, which must rival many museums, is on the 'must see' list for visitors to Venice. Most people come to see the Titian Assumption which is glorious but make sure you make time to admire the impressive carved choir-stalls, the intriguing monument to Canova, and the beautiful Bellini Madonna in a side-chapel. For music lovers you can admire the humble but dignified and moving tombstone for Monteverdi in the Cappella Milanese, albeit through a locked gate! The church is part of the Chorus scheme, which entails a modest admission charge but does mean that it is open continuously from 10am to 5pm from Monday to Saturday and also on Sunday afternoons.
  • I'm glad my tour guide took us to this place it has many crypts and the altar is absolutely stunning
  • Check out the best Bellini it's in the small room on the right at the back as you walk in!
