Explore La Venaria Reale, a 17th-century palace built for Charles Emmanuel II as a base for his hunting expeditions. History had taken its toll here; the structure only opened to the public in 2007 after one of the European Union's largest cultural restoration projects. Wander through the palace's permanent exhibit, Theater of History and Magnificence, which takes you through some of the most impressive rooms. Begin in the 17th-century Hall of Diana, continue through to the Great Gallery, and then move on to the Church of St. Hubert. The accompanying soundtrack by Brian Eno and the multimedia installations on court life make this an informative and atmospheric walk. Stretch your legs in the palace's 50 hectares (123.5 acres) of gardens. You'll find cafes, restaurants and a bookshop on site. La Venaria Reale Reviews

The rooms and grounds are very well kept, the staff is courteous and the temporary exhibitions (Boldini in particular) are done very well. I recommend it to everyone. Maybe for the kids is a little too challenging because they are at least 6 hours to visit
Una struttura del genere con possibilità di avere 7 casse x l'acquisto dei biglietti, lascia centinaia di persone sotto il sole in coda mantenendo solo 2 casse aperte. VERGOGNA more »A structure like that with the possibility of having 7 crates x buying tickets, leaving hundreds of people queued in the Sun keeping only 2 cashiers. SHAME

The garden always wonderful with the Swans swimming placidly in the main channel. Useful le fontanelle outside and numerous bathrooms the different points of the Palace. Involving the fountain show at noon and the various rooms with lots of interesting works. The exhibition of Caravaggio was the icing on the cake, because it allows you to immerse yourself in the details of its chief executives.
Overrated in my opinion. First of all, 40 minute line under the summer sun to buy EUR 25 ticket is exhausting and one would question what they are doing with all those funds that are not used to improve efficiency of ticketing. The lady at the ticketing booth also was unable/unwilling to provide recommendations on areas to visit. The gardens are huge and beautiful, but after such a long wait to get in, most of the energy is exhausted... Stables are not really worth additional fees. The biggest issue is that the entire place has a history of being abandoned and destroyed, and although the exterior architecture is beautifully restored, there are no original interior artifacts.
I didn't appreciate my visit to this place. The Reggia was totally abandoned and what you see today is a palace with nothing significant to be seen inside, except occasionally exhibitions. To enhance it, it has been enriched with screens in which videos, there are famous actors that play as they are antique residents of the palace . I did not have the opportunity to take the train to see the gardens becouse two hours before the end of the service it was already full of people and it was impossible to book. So I visited the gardens walking and I find anything exceptional. I am very disappointed.
Just incredible!!! The gardens are really enormous and the palace is gorgeous. The perfect place where to spend a touristic day, between nature and culture...
It costs 25 euros to get in for a palace that is no way near as impressive as Versailles. Not bad and quite informative, just expensive fkr what it is.
It's not a bad castle to visit. But honestly 25 euros per person for many things that are actually missing like the two fountains is a rip off...
