  • Campo Santo Teutonico-cemetery, founded by Charlemagne and yet still citizens of Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Belgium, the Netherlands, have the right to be buried in the cemetery if they died while visiting Rome. It is possible to get here every day from 8 to 12:00 days, the main approach to the Swiss guards and request permission to visit him. "then you will need to pass the guard post, which is located behind the right-hand Colonnade.

  • The German cemetery is located in the Vatican and can be visited only by German. To reach him left hand in St. Peter's square. There you will be checked through briefly and then the Swiss Guard shows the way one. Very pretty set.

  • The access to the Camposanto Teutonico is of course also something special, because you must first speak to the Swiss guards. Then you come in but also rapidly and is at once a green idyll with many tombs and plants.

  • Very nice place
  • Worth to see. I advise you, when I was no one there. Although the Vatican Museum stood a huge turn.

  • The German cemetery is a quiet Green Island amidst the turbulent Rome - a real surprise at the first visit. Get access in the morning, when one asks a Swiss Guard on German (!) at the entrance.
