Kloster Neustift
An old monastery, Kloster Neustift now houses winemaking and conference facilities. The site is surrounded by gardens, apple trees, and vineyards. You can take a guided tour of the abbey to get a detailed history of the structure. The ornate frescoes in the cloisters are a treat for the eyes. After your tour, enjoy a wine tasting. If you have extra time, take a look at the old library as well. Arrange to visit Kloster Neustift and other attractions in Varna using our Varna visit planner.

Well worth a visit - especially if you have a Brixen card as this gives free entry. Sadly tours in the afternoon are only in German or Italian but even so they are worth doing as this allows you acces... more »

Bellissimo posto, dove il connubio vino e cultura è meravigliosamente presente. Bella la visita dei cortili, della chiesa e, se si riesce, del museo. more »
Beautiful place, where the combination of wine and culture is wonderfully present. Beautiful the visit of the courtyards, the Church and, if you can, the Museum.View original -

Gorgeous Augustinian complex of religious buildings and not founded in 1100 and enlarged later. Remarkable its library containing 65000 volumes with books dating back to the building, and the Museum that contains interesting religious objects but not only very nice is also the basilica rebuilt almost entirely in the eighteenth century. Is a typical example of Alpine and Bavarian Baroque we also purchased the white wine that produces the Abbey itself worthy of the best South Tyrolean traditionView original

Lovely place where it's easy to arrive, this is a must see in the area ! Nice church, so curious the monks graveyard. It's beautiful the internal court with the nice fountain and it's fresco, and is wonderful the big courtyard. Here you can relax and take some pictures. It's possible to eat something at the restaurant (would say a little overpriced, and would be hated probably by who remember or think to find something like the old cellar. Don't expect it.). It's even possible to buy something at the shop outside the wall. Big free parking and very clean toilet. I haven't tried the tour that could be bought on site.

I had several times so the trip. You look amazing! The atmosphere, the air you breathe, the architecture, the wines of excellent quality. What more can we say. Yes even the scenery around, gives the Abbey, maybe with a little snow, a magic.View original

What about a magnificent place that makes you enter directly in the middle ages. The library remembers the name of the rose. To visitView original

I had been the first time many I decade ago .... and the service and food provided were really something else. Now it's all modern modern managed by a bevy of young waiter who engage in their work ... but unfortunately every now and then I seemed to encounter delays in service of the kitchen. As for the sweet, the portions are very generous and the products served good ... especially the strudelView original
