  • Is located at the foot of the Sacro Monte di Varese was built by Polish banker Joseph Toeplitz and his wife Hedwig. Wonderful fountains and walkways lined with different species of trees. To report an Observatory of Eastern style.

  • I'm a fond of this beautiful park unfortunately over the years it's gotten worse in the maintenance, care of plants, furniture, fountains, paths and driveways all ruined. A shame you have a gem like this and leave it in this State. If it was in England or other countries would be a radiance

  • The Park is really amazing but in my opinion it's not looked after, when I got some "Brooks" weren't working and the fountain was filled with leaves. Nevertheless remains an ideal place for quiet walks

  • best sunset ever
  • Not great..
  • Beautiful public park. Besides the beauty of the plants, of the architectural structures, the fountain is to appreciate the usability: spacious lawns and some picnic table. There is also a bar. On the side opposite to the main entrance and in the upper area there is also a part left in the woods with trails easily passable. To discover the small chapel hidden.

  • The buildings in the Park are many: greenhouses, the stable, the Chapel, the bowls, the tennis courts, the belvedere, the pool and of course the Villa. A location surrounded by a beautiful park hosts villa of the early 900, named after the Polish banker Joseph Toeplitz, who bought it in 1914.il by making significant embellishments to the Park due to sewage and water games, tip his wife, Hedwig Mrozowska. The ambitious plan was a work of hydraulic engineering to channel water from the nearby Monte Martica: water games, consisting of the monumental staircase with cascading waterfalls in grey marble and porphyry mosaic interspersed with fountains of Carrara. The vegetation in the Park, was modified by Toeplitz with hedges of Cypress and pine tree spots marked by paths embellished with numerous varieties of exotic species and rejoice from the villa and the Park became water games soon the focus of an intense cultural life that revolved around female Hedwig. The couple, deeply religious, also decided to build a chapel, which was called by Poland the architect Goraska, who gave birth to a small masterpiece. The frescoes were instead commissioned the famous Polish painter Rosen. Hedwig, intelligent woman and eclectic, was interested also in Astronomy: therefore he built a small Observatory, perfectly equipped. In 1972, the property was acquired by the municipality of Varese, who decided to open the Park to the public. Currently the Villa houses one of the campuses of the University of Insubria.
