Rainbow Magic Land, Valmontone

2.0
A short drive from Rome, Rainbow Magic Land is one of Europe's biggest theme parks. Opened in 2011, the park covers more than 60 hectares (146 acres) and is designed for all ages. Divided into several themed areas, the park offers 36 different attractions. Rides include indoor spinning rollercoasters, mini train rides, raft rides, and interactive dark rides. You can meet brave Vikings, magical fairies, and powerful sorcerers, to name just a few of the park's most popular characters. The site also includes a 4-D movie theater, a horror house, and a huge children's play area. Several tour operators organize bus trips to the park departing from most major cities in central and southern Italy. • We have been to this park twice: April 2016 and January 2017. We always had a lot of fun, there are attractions for all ages. In my opinion to upgrade anyway. Advice to expand the playground for the little ones. One thing we didn't like was the fact that not all attractions are available at the opening of the Park, for some you have to wait for the 12:00. Really unacceptable for an amusement park.

  • I've always loved them for the special park rides that you can't find anywhere else but from 2011 that are always the same 10, is a park with a huge potential that should be exploited and I'm sure you would get a stunning takeoff just add a carousel because the subjects are not lacking

  • Great playground near Rome, very organized and very functional and fun attractions! I had a great day of fun. Recommended for families with children as the Park has an excellent animation and entertainment. Highly professional staff and ample parking. Prices average amusement parks in Italy!

  • The best theme park I have ever been too by far. They have all sorts of theatre performances, a planetarium, stunt shows and a lot more. They do an illusion show at the end of the day which is excellent. They also have a big range of different rides so there is something for everyone. The food could be a little better with more choice. Would definitely recommend this place. Your guaranteed to have a great time from start to finish.
  • Family-friendly theme park with roller coasters, a soft play area, a stunt show & a planetarium.
  • A must if you are in the centre of Italy. The amusement park is not the biggest but it has loads of rides for all likes. The place is clean and tidy, the rides are all new and quite exclusive, the views are super and queues are not "scary" even when it's crowded. The food is a bit on the expensive side and it's not geat either but there's a good choice. Be sure to print out your voucher from their website when entitled to group or family discounts otherwise you won't be able to get any offer at the till. Great on the 15th of August celebrated with fireworks, foam party and disco!
  • Fun place, not very clean, people do not wait in line.
  • Rainbow Magicland is a fantastic theme park with a lot of different options to cater for different age groups (including adults, teens and children.) The park is very quiet in the mornings until around 1pm with only 10-20 other people in the park. (during the month of July in my limited testing) this jumps gradually to more people in the late afternoon but the park still remains extremely quiet with less than 500 or so at any given time. The size of the park is impressive and the layout is extremely well thought out offering shaded areas, water fountains, cafes, eateries, rides, arcade machines, gift shops and many many more. All of the water based rides are amazing fun and I recommend them highly! Leaving the park and returning later is something staff have no problem with which gives you a chance to walk across the road (3 minutes) to the Valmontone Outlets to do some shopping or grab some KFC, Burger King or other fast food not offered in the park. The pricing for snacks within the park is very reasonable and restrooms are free of charge (something incredibly rare in Italy.) There is easy access to this incredible theme park via a free shuttle bus from Volmontone Station (single tickets to Volmontone from Rome cost 3 euros and return tickets are also available for 6 euros.) Rainbow Magicland is more than worth a day (or 2 if intending to go to the outlets across as those may take a day to accomplish on their own) visit.
