  • belleissima passeggiatas picnic to do even with young children because it's not very challenging, about 30 minutes to get to the beautiful meadows where you can enjoy a wonderful view over the Lakes

  • Lovely place, it can be reached easily with a walk along different paths from Valmadrera. Then when you arrive you can enjoy a breathtaking view where the Resegone is the master.

  • To begin the path of tanks arrive at country Valmadrera (LC). Hilarious and spectacular trail that follows the Creek hell. There is everything for those who love hiking not too mundane: small lakes formed by the Creek, rastoke, rocks, ladders, steps into the rocks almost vertical, metal chains to ensure hazardous climbing points and exposed passages. Attention: the trail is not difficult but is recommended only for expert hikers (EE), the stones and the treads in the rocks can be very slippery! It requires good balance, physical effort, proper footwear (slippery rocks and wet feet). Feasible even with children (via ferrata kit for them) but only after doing and evaluated without children. The path lies the resort of san Tomaso. Although there is a nice lawn, beautiful view over the village, without the plain of San Tomaso the trail would lose absolutely nothing, is beautiful in itself, natural spectacle! In San Tomaso in a "bar" I had coffee and it was done with a simple coffee, like at home ... In short, the plain of San Tomaso can't wait as the goal. For the descent we chose a road, Valmadrera can be reached in no time. The whole ring we did in 5 hours though we stopped many times to photograph. I will make sure this hike again with the water of the River a little more abundant. If I am being a desire to do the same path more than once deserves all 5 stars the desire to do the same path more than once, to me deserves all 5 stars.

  • Pleasant walk from Valmadrera, parking next to elementary schools in via Leopardi, and then go up to via San Carlo Borromeo. The trail is a convenient carrettiera, kinda steep, but that in less than one hour will take you to the plain of San Tomaso. Beautiful view with Corni di Canzo mount Barro in front and behind, the East Resegone. Easily recognizable even Lakes of Garlate and Annone in the East to the South. The plain is a nice Church and a shelter where they help themselves to typical mountain cuisine of Lombardy. Just above the plain a beautiful forest of chestnut trees where you can gather chestnuts to get some excellent chestnuts chance to visit a small museum with objects of daily life.

  • Beautiful scenery, easy access, great for toddlers, the better the path of the forest which is less monotonous but also a passage from the trail to see the angle with the waterfall which is quite nice. If you're not loud and you are very lucky you might see some deer

  • Breathtaking and beautiful in nature. Ability to grab a bite in this farmstead not far

  • Beautiful place to disconnect from the city climate. Affordable and family friendly and children walk 30-60 minutes. You can stay on the pratone, and farm holidays or retreat dares Rusconi. For lovers of hiking from San Tomaso you can access to many trails to access the peaks and mountain huts in the area.
