  • One of the classical hikes from Valmadrera, always pleasant in any season. A bit steep the first part (up to the fountain of the turnoff to the Sasso di Preguda). Doable on foot for families or even in MTB (tough the first part of the climb just after the paved road). The views from the Church (about Lecco, Resegone, Lago, Monte Barro, ...) is priceless without having to get on top of a mountain. The Esplanade next fills in summer of people dining or sunbathing. For a return walk a bit more challenging you can also opt for the trail that passes through the Taia Sas (where they cut the stones) and the subsequent descent a little steep to the sanctuary of the Madonna di San Martino (fraz. Caserta).

  • Almost daily destination for the walk the dog, this time we tackled the climb through a footpath just practiced (3) traveling very comfortable to be a little more difficult in the Woods and get under the "pratone". Nice panorama, especially looking towards Pare and Lecco although part of the view is obstructed by the fortress. Classic destination for those who live in the area, beautiful practicing it early in the morning or make infraweekly; on Wednesday, is a little more crowded since it is also open the refuge; more on weekends, especially Sundays, for the gathering of people that you might find. Saint Thomas is a crossroads: for corni di Canzo, Tajasass, Sambrosera, Preguda, bath, San Pietro al Monte ... throughout this territory called "the unnamed island"; There are also other routes to get to these places, but those who live in the area, not having to Saint Thomas, is like making a wrong!

  • Let's say you definitely opt, but won't be so captivated by wanting to return. For those who are in the area and want to get a walk is definitely indicated, but for those coming from far away and the "head" once, that's enough and opt for other destinations surely equally and perhaps even more wonderful! MAIN ROAD: walk of about 45 minutes (depending on your pace) all strictly uphill on mule, partly surrounded by nature, so if it's a sunny day you will be constantly in the Sun! Once there you will find a vast lawn, which is also very little shaded, plant are limited!! The view is nice: Lakes of Como, Annone and Pusiano but alas the entire industrial area and town Valmadrerese and Civatese and the "too annoying" incinerator ... So, for those who love nature is not the best ... Since even having little altitude (about 550 mt a.s.l.) the air we breathe is always heavy!! Feasible with kids ... even in your arms ... No strollers!
