  • Since we were in Tuscany is near Reggello could not miss a visit to the Abbey of Vallombrosa. Is an ancient Abbey built in the Woods ... beautiful with a small museum. It was once a school for forestry, there are now only a few monks and the huge facility is open ... the brothers also have a small workshop where they call the Pharmacy where they work the plants and produce syrups and infusions ... very interesting I'd a visit if you're in the neighborhood ...

  • Trees, trees and then, again, trees ... and finally opens to the visitor's eye, among the trees and lush greenery, note the impressive body of the structure. Beautiful aesthetically but hardly open, with the exception of the Church which is accessible at all times. Very nice interior, rich in works of merit and altars and chapels. Striking the pipe organ that fills an entire wall. Nice then is a visit to the ancient pharmacy, in the front yard, where you can buy particular products and spirits production. The place still is worth a visit if only for the peace and quiet of the place. Winter is almost deserted and in the summer is a destination for excursions and outings also searching the coolness of the Woods. Recommended, no doubt, for a quiet break, which never hurts!

  • A splendid place. A charming architectural and historical aspects. Have not been adequately evaluated for lack of local initiatives.

  • Beautiful complex recently restored. Shame about the lack of turnout is the Abbey that the Botanical Garden. You can also make the path of shrines and a stop at the pharmacy with the products of the friars.

  • I recently visited the Abbey of Vallombrosa is a Renaissance monastery surrounded by a large forest. The monks under the rule of Saint Benedict alternate liturgical prayer, nicely landscaped, the job crafting products including tasty herbal teas. Eighteenth-century organ notes resonate every Saturday afternoon and Sunday concerts in summer will benefit in the monastic liturgy. Guided by monks at the great Abbey not only allow you to enjoy the works of art but they do enter into the spirit of the Benedictine vallumbrosian congregation. Balkos

  • To visit during the week in the warm months because on weekends there's the brawl. A beautiful place, spiritual and a history very interesting. You can visit the Church within.

  • Looking for summer cooler, definitely worth a visit. Nestled in a lush forest, worth spending a day walking around in nature.
