  • Closed, with just one priest who stood fast. Cold and darkness made it even more attractive and with the destruction of trees a few years ago, seems to have dropped a bomb ... To make it further surreal is the presence of high black immigrants were housed in hotels in Saltino, the village near the Abbey.

  • Beautiful complex recently restored. Shame about the lack of turnout is the Abbey that the Botanical Garden. You can also make the path of shrines and a stop at the pharmacy with the products of the friars.

  • I recently visited the Abbey of Vallombrosa is a Renaissance monastery surrounded by a large forest. The monks under the rule of Saint Benedict alternate liturgical prayer, nicely landscaped, the job crafting products including tasty herbal teas. Eighteenth-century organ notes resonate every Saturday afternoon and Sunday concerts in summer will benefit in the monastic liturgy. Guided by monks at the great Abbey not only allow you to enjoy the works of art but they do enter into the spirit of the Benedictine vallumbrosian congregation. Balkos

  • To visit during the week in the warm months because on weekends there's the brawl. A beautiful place, spiritual and a history very interesting. You can visit the Church within.

  • Looking for summer cooler, definitely worth a visit. Nestled in a lush forest, worth spending a day walking around in nature.
