  • I visited the ossuary to complete the history of the Pasubio that rises majestically to protect the bodies of those guys who gave their lives for their country. A hundred meters there is the bar, next to a Museum really did well, with priceless artifacts. Instead of sending the kids to play games, take them to visit these places worth forming consciences.

  • Come around here can not rule out a visit to the Memorial of the Pasubio Ossuary. A pilgrimage due, as far as I'm concerned and I love sharing, especially with those who have any knowledge of this war, something designed for duty in school books differently from someone like me who had a grandfather with the Medal of Knight of Vittorio Veneto. So distant and so close that war that changed the world yet still present and not only in the remains of those who fell. The ossuary is a kind of Tower whose base is collected the remains of over 5000 casualties, hundreds of which are unknown. Incurred at the pian delle Fugazze, dominated by the massif of Pasubio where in 15-18 DO you fought an exhausting war of position (face there basically did not change except some positions captured by the Austro-Hungarian and that led to the construction of the famous Strada delle 52 Gallerie. Attached to the charnel-house there is a small museum which is well worth a visit.

  • Holy memorial to WWI fallen. Epic view on Veneto region and Po Valley. Useful starting location for climbing, trekking and all mountain sports.
  • Filled with the bones (which you can see & touch) of 5000 mostly kids who died, were killed 100 years ago on the mountain above, extremely well maintained. It was built less than 10 years after the end of the war. It helps put our whiny little problems in perspective.
  • Sacred place where dogs are not allowed ... and here everyone thinks what you like. I say this because maybe many depart from rifugio campogrosso with intent, walk to visit the shrine, but then find themselves having to tie the dog out or to shuttle giving the dog to family or friends. said this one to remember that during holidays shrine is open but closes on the day following the public holiday. There is a large parking lot near the shrine, all along the way and even within 200 300 meters there are two more ... always surcharge

  • Memorial in remembrance of the victims of the first world war. Less monumental than those of monte Grappa, Asiago and offers a wonderful view over the Valley. Very nice tower to the paintings, you can climb up to the top floor. Inside the ossuary is provided free parking for 2 hours, Alternatively you can leave your car at Pian delle Fugazze (20cent/hour in 2017) or along the way (50 cent/HR in 2017). In the building within the complex is a Museum and a refreshment bar.
