  • Despite the strong is not well advertised is a real hidden gem in the mountains and visit is an experience that will take your breath away. The hotel is in an excellent state of preservation which seem rare demonstrates how did our soldiers of World War I. Everything remained frozen in time like a century ago: from gunner to electrical installations at powder magazines. The environment is really impressive especially thanks to the constant and loving commitment by Roman Palmer great example of passion.

  • The short detour from Bormio (<5 km) to see the Forte Venini is well worth it. The fort dates to WWI. It's very well-maintained and offers a nice collection of artefacts and photos that help one to re...  more »
  • Fort dating back to the great war, kept perfectly and extremely nice to visit. You may enter any premises and each of them has a name tag with an explanation of what was happening inside the Fort. A really nice experience for mountain lovers (from the top of the Fort you can see the whole Valley), a must for lovers of history, to stepping back in time.

  • The place is quiet, the Fort is fairly well maintained. There are a couple of walking paths in the Woods.

  • Forte di Venini is at the Italian mountain village of Oga at about 1800 metres above sea level and is a piece of history from the first world war. The information boards are also of English text. On top of the forte di Venini you have a beautiful view.
