Palazzo Ducale di Urbino, Urbino
(4.5/5 based on 1,400+ reviews on the web)
Palazzo Ducale di Urbino reflects Federico's dedication to using pagan imagery to decorate the medieval walls. A small study that faces away from the city and toward the duke's rural lands is the central element. The latticework, paintings, and benches here are stellar examples of Italian inlay. The shelves are filled with musical scores, books, and scientific instruments that reflect the duke's broad interests. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this Renaissance structure built into the side of a hill. • I spent a nice morning inside the Palace to admire the works, the rooms, the exhibits and the dungeons. Everything is beautiful and very affordable! Shame about the lack of staff that I wanted to do still a lot of questions, especially for the basement that lacks almost totally explanations. -see review for "National Gallery of marche"-

  • Impressive collection of paintings in an enclave of the humanity UNESCO, with works by the great masters such as Raphael (Muta), Della Francesca (the flagellation of Christ), Tiziano, Berruguete and visit to the Ducal rooms. In marked schedule might rise to the towers for better views.

  • What about ... Raphael, Piero della Francesca, Paolo Uccello and the famous painting "the ideal city" (Author unknown) movie frieza had already alone more than enough to suggest a visit. But the studiolo of Federico da Montefeltro and one of the most typical of Renaissance architecture make it absolutely mandatory
