Palazzo Ducale di Urbino, Urbino

(4.5/5 based on 1,500+ reviews on the web)
Palazzo Ducale di Urbino reflects Federico's dedication to using pagan imagery to decorate the medieval walls. A small study that faces away from the city and toward the duke's rural lands is the central element. The latticework, paintings, and benches here are stellar examples of Italian inlay. The shelves are filled with musical scores, books, and scientific instruments that reflect the duke's broad interests. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this Renaissance structure built into the side of a hill. • I recently spent a winter morning exploring the collection in the Palazzo Ducale. A beautiful fortress filled with the history of the Montefeltro family. Note: Freezing cold in winter!!
  • Huge!! I was there on a Sunday and the entrance to the East room was free. Not possible to get there by car because of the Ltz but making a pleasant walk to the Centre of Urbino and crossing all universities that delineate arrive at this spectacular building that contains a world of art

  • Not only that it is accessible for free, it also lets you be a part of the middle ages (mid 15th century). You can browse around at your convenience by all kinds of leave walking; of the forge in the ground floor where you, as it were, the farrier do his work, by the laundry, the water supply of the Castle, the reception room (s), to the balcony. A great renaissance palazzo that a Unesco World Heritage site.
