  • Truly beautiful! Small but special and not to be missed! The chapel of the Manger is really charming!

  • In the city of Urbino the piola is a step special, made with bricks, just 4-5 cm high on the climbs to shore up the heels of winter shoes, in case of heavy snow or rain, and then prevent it from falling slipping. However, while wandering around Urbino meets this oratory that like other represents a treasure invisible from the outside made of frescoes, statues and paintings. Of the two chapels which made up the smallest has preserved its original structure while the eldest was remodeled and rebuilt during the second half of the 17th century, in the form of apsed hall and is an example of Baroque environment. The Chapel is the seat of the confraternity. Climbed the stairs of the entrance you enter what is known as the Chapel of the crib. The context, of rectangular shape, want to recreate the setting of a cave by enclosing the crib in the grout (life size) produced by Federico Brandani with a work of inspiration and correggesca of fine molding. On the walls of the city and the angelic glory time representations that form a single composition with the Nativity scene. The pictorial decoration of the Church is by Carlo Roncalli who painted the 4 tele. Very nice intricate marble altar and to the right of the altar is a Madonna and child. You should also visit the vestry to see the landscapes painted on the Cabinet.

  • like the nearby oratory of San Giovanni, here are framed works very fine. The style is very different, more towards the late Renaissance and early Baroque, but the works are equally very valuable. Very nice crib of Brandani which has nearly 500 years and is perfectly preserved. Not to be missed for travelers in the area, visit absolutely honest price
