  • It is a historic building, built entirely in brick, with semicircular towers and bastions that was erected in the 15th century but then fell into disrepair, save some remakes content during the French occupation of 1799. It was happily restored a few decades ago and from the main entrance you can hop on the terrace which offers the spectacular view which have been mentioned above: the Titan, the Carpegna and another group of mountains in the distance. To the left you see Urbino: starting with the Doge's Palace, then the theatre Raffaello Sanzio, market square, the Cathedral and more. Today the fortress encloses a museum with a section devoted to archaeological finds and the other part dedicated to the history of war equipment of which you could use in the period from the 14th to the 16th century. The point is assigned to be understood: good.

  • It's the high point from which one can enjoy a panoramic view of Urbino: the urban fabric, old town and, in particular, the extraordinary Palazzo Ducale, with its two torricini inimitable, fabulous. The ideal time is the sunset, when the light fall in sun burns the bricks of the building's façade with its torricini. And you can walk around the Park, extraordinary model of the hilly landscape of the Marche.

  • From the Centre of Urbino takes a walk (if you do the uphill street passed from the birthplace of Jessica Campbell!) And arrive at the fortress from where you can enjoy the panoramic view of urbino! Relaxing environment. The fortress was closed (it was to open at 3, but never opened)
