  • The choice of walks to do in "mountain" for those who don't want to leave too much of the territory of Perugia is not very extensive and the hike to the top of mount Subasio is definitely an alternative. The streets provide Summit practically drive but of course there are several parking lots in order to experience more or less tiring. The circular trail that you can do around the top is pretty thrashed and the only rest areas where you can camp out are structures, the keys of which are in the hands of the Ranger. It is still possible to make a request to access it. I personally am not was very pleased with the walk described above: in practice we follow a kind of ring around the peak remained barren areas, without a tree and no shade, so if you catch a sunny day guard with hats and sunscreen. The view will satisfy in part the effort even if not by much, especially for those who have lived the Alps far and wide. That is why I wrote this title perhaps a little too mean. Probably you should also visit the lower areas.

  • Very very beautiful. Ride up to it is really worth it. On a clear day, you have a fantastic view.

  • completely unspectacular, if only action and thousand stimulations are enough... but a boon to enjoy the freedom of vision on the Apennines and the Umbrotal, with 1290m above sea level above the tree border... and full of astonishment, that the Italians come here to sunbathe as others on the beach (which is just not there in the Umbria region as the only South of the Alpine regions). You come here on the same street as the Eremo delle Carceri, only going up the road just on...
