  • This was the best wine tasting I have ever been to-and the lunch was even better. You will taste 9 wines, an olive oil and a dessert wine. Be careful the pours are NOT small. The grounds are beautiful...  read more »

  • My wife and I visited Tenuta Torciano and had an absolutely wonderful time. The staff were amazingly nice and eager to assist us in getting to know the wines of the region. The standard tasting is about 8 bottles of wine and each was paired with food. Included in the tasting were olive oils and balsamic vinegar. (The olive oil with truffles was paired with lasagna. Just superb!) Don't plan on eating lunch or dinner before or after the tasting - it's a lot to eat and drink. We did the short tasting but could easily go back and spend the entire day there. We also ordered wine to be shipped to the states and they were very careful to ask if we wanted to pay in euros or dollars - they had no preference. I'm not sure what the other reviewers encountered with their orders, but it seemed very up front and straightforward to me. We'll be back the next time that we're in the area. Very well done!
  • Muy buena atencion
  • Heads up, although the staff is very friendly and accommodating, there is no mention before the tasting you will be charged €30 per person. We purchased two bottles, perhaps tasting fee is waived with a bigger purchase but it would be nice to know up front. Disappointing.
  • We (2 couple's from Australia) visited Torciano as part of a small tour to San Gimignano. Much to our surprise we had a private tasting including snacks (salami, cheese etc) in the cellar and enjoyed a most entertaining hour or so sampling the fine wines of Torciano. We purchased a mixed dozen plus the excellent truffle oil and were delighted that FedEx delivered the wines several days after our return to Australia. Thanks for a very memorable experience!
  • My wife Rashmi and I stopped by at Tenuta Torciano for half a day, while on our way from Rome to Firenze. The owner Pierluigi took great care of us, spoiled us with countless varieties of fine Tuscan wines, both red and white, fed us till we couldn't move and insisted we stay back for another round. Fantastic hospitality, divine food and spectacular (romantic) views of the vineyards with the sunset as a backdrop. Pierluigi showed show us his personal reserve (numerous barrels stocked up) and took us for a tour of his beautiful estate. His humor was truly complimentary to the experience. My wife and I purchased several bottles of their home-grown virgin olive oil, a few bottles of the perfectly aged balsamic vinegar and some bottles of their famous 2009 Brunello di Montalcino Wine. Definitely worth a trip here again!
