  • Chanced on the first Sunday of the month, we even walked free. The Museum has a permanent collection composed of several different works and a section dedicated to temporary exhibitions. Very nice "casa real", which is the publicly accessible apartment, decorated with splendid frescoes.

  • In the heart of the city of Udine there is a museum attached to a private home that welcomes works really unexpected: Picasso, Chagal, Guttuso, Morandi just to give you some examples. Do not miss the works of Basaldella. You should certainly go for the permanent exhibition, but also for that: there is now temporary Mattotti.

  • Extensive and important exhibition of modern painting in a location that alone is worth the visit. Important collection of paintings donated by famous artists to help in the reconstruction of Friuli

  • Museum of modern art in Udine. Well organized and subdivided.

  • Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Developed on two floors. The second I couldn't visit due to lack of time. During this period until February 2016 on the ground floor you can visit the exhibition sula Friuli and international photographer Tina Modotti, which I highly recommend to anyone who is reading this review. The only drawback to Casa Carmelo IMHO is a bit limited hours: closing at 17. Located in the heart of Udine and architecture, modern and essential, is already in itself a reason to enter. The fact that good interior space is also used for other cultural activities: concerts, lectures etc..

  • Unsuited to a museum. The Museum must be functional to the works not the other way around.
