  • It is very cute and charming, our children enjoyed themselves. Thanks to the bar we had lunch with sandwiches and drinks. They also organize birthday parties ... to consider!

  • Once the Medici Villas in and around Florence were brought together under UNESCO heritage management the Villa Demidoff (its C19 name) has been the subject of restoration and improvement, still underw...  more »
  • We stopped by chance, on the last Sunday in October in this large park in twenty minutes from Florence. It was the last day before winter break. We decided to follow the guided tour (which is completely free of charge!). It lasted just over an hour and the strategy we recommend, since in addition to explaining the history of the Park, allows access in areas closed to visitors (cave of Cupid, faggianeria, etc, etc.). Loved the giant statue, only pity is that there are endless closed areas (South and North) for security reasons. Reopen at Easter and is suitable for families or couples.

  • Only open from April to October what is really sad!
  • If you stay in Florence for enough time this is a must see park/villa, absolutely special!
  • Thats Amazing !
  • Amazing place in the Florence neighbors. The Gigante sculpture is probably the most incredible sculture in the world. Simply magnificent. The park is in perfect position for a ride out of the croud on lovely hills. With a bike tour on the renaissance ring you can see the park and Florence landscape from many panoramic points of view.
  • Beautiful and huge park full of history in ten minutes from Florence. Great for picnics, trips with children or moments. Free entry but also organize guided groups for a fee through the main sights of the Park. Only minus a parking a bit too small, also shared by the nearby park adventure.

Where to stay in Fiesole

Heritage villas converted into luxury hotels, with conservatory dining areas, pools and adjoining cocktail bars, and superlative views of the surrounding area cater to those with deeper pockets. It is possible to find some budget-friendly accommodation in town, either at bed and breakfasts in the historical center, or a campsite off to the east. Many visitors to Fiesole come as part of a day trip from Florence, which offers additional options and may be a good idea for those simply passing through this area.
