  • A mountain rising from the sea, with small beaches and in many cases difficult to reach (not necessarily be a bad thing) with breathtaking views and the best sunsets ever. Try the excursions to the nearby islands of Giglio and Giannutri. For those who love the great sandy beaches there are those on the Tomboli combining headland to the Maremma.

  • We were at the Argentario for a short break of 4 days. We stayed in a camping Capalbio (camping), very quiet, surrounded by countryside, the owners very friendly. Porto Santo Stefano is a very nice, well served, full of beaches and coves. There are many parking lots, but if you don't arrive too late, there's also a free municipal parking, a bit out of the Centre but with shuttle service to the entrance of the village. This great shuttle service that connects to the main beaches and coves from the Centre. As the beaches we visited "the blonde", which despite having sea, was filled with algae that gave off foul odor; "la cantoniera", instead, lovely, crazy sea, where we could snorkel and swim among small schools of fish; "cala grande" which will get you through a path that, upon return, after a day at the beach, can be challenging. The trouble however is rewarded by the beauty of the place, with several small beaches and crystal clear sea is typical of the place. Only downfall, boats and yachts moored too close to shore. Porto Ercole, where we spent one evening, not loved; smaller and less supervised than in Porto Santo Stefano. We can't say how the fortresses, which we haven't had the opportunity to visit. For sure we dissuade the rite of "ficamaschia", where we found frozen fish (expected) of poor quality and poorly cooked. In General, we recommend to visit the Argentario, really lovely place, with its beautiful sea, a few steps from the splendid Tuscan countryside. We also recommend a visit to Capalbio and the Tarot garden

  • For over 40 years the Argentario with emotions! Unique locations for both the sea and the Interior of the maremma! Beaches, Islands and all the stocking that you encounter via sea represent a unique natural heritage. Besides the beauty of the area but lack attractions for young people in memory of a distant worldly splendour!
