  • Big, bright, cold and sterile. Purely functional. Great little coffee shop which is so good and reasonable there's nearly always a cue at peak times. It looks and feels like a greenhouse with no plant...  more »
  • Two years later, I took the train AV at Porta Susa (instead of Porta Nuova) and nothing has changed: this is only a transit station, but if you have to wait for a train to some tens of minutes (which happened to me) very little allows you to spend that time pleasantly!

  • Porta Susa train station can be seen from little more than a year an original sculpture. It's a huge dark sphere balanced on a half sphere with a diameter of four meters. Surely, if we can't see it, nor steps close to resist the temptation to touch her smooth, asking what it is. This is the symbol of "Punt e Mes", a point and a half, from the name of one of the most famous advertising campaigns designed by Armando Testa, translated into a sphere with different shades of red. Created in 1960 to advertise a famous Italian vermouth, the "Punt e Mes" head wanted to visually illustrate the cocktail recipe: a point of bitter and sweet medium. The family Head has donated to the city of Turin. If you see her when it rains, the sculpture shines.
