(4.8/5 based on 1,100+ reviews on the web)
An icon that once stood in the chapel was venerated for having healing powers, making Santuario Basilica La Consolata a pilgrimage site for centuries. The original, humble structure grew over the years with each generation of monks. Inside the church, Rococo decorations reflect the light, making the marble and Solomonic columns gleam. Sculptures commemorating various saints fill the chapel and adorn the outside. Many of these hold special significance for the city of Turin's history. The saints represent the various modes of life in the city, from trading to health. • This small temple is not the most important one of Torino in terms of its size, but its symbolic value is very large, because here is where believers bring their votive offerings. The temple is beautifully constructed with green, pink and white marble. Right in front is the bicerin, a historic coffee where writers like Nietzsche and a. Dumas used to drink this particular BREW.

  • An absolutely stunning basilica. While small in size, the interior is beautifully decorated. Be sure to stop at Al Bicerin next to the basilica for a taste of the local treat of the same name.

  • Definitely one of the most beautiful Churches in Torino and in the whole Italy. Very intricate decorations literally everywhere, make sure you explore all of its corners.
  • Beautiful church. Make sure you explore the whole church for some interesting art work on the wall.
  • Impressive. Definitely stop in, you will not regret it. Then get a "bicerin" at the café in front.
  • The only beautiful church in Turin. Must see.
  • One of the oldest places of worship in Turin, the city's most important shrine, dedicated to Mary, erected on the Piedmontese Baroque masterpiece ... existing Church of Sant'Andrea. I intervened on Guarini, Juvarra and Ceppi.Il is the pre-existing Bell Tower from the 11th century. The real name is the sanctuary of Santa Maria della Consolazione. Houses an icon of the Virgin, which is not the original icon believed to be miraculous, present in the ancient Church of Saint Andrew. On 20 June each year, the date of the anniversary of the miracle of the blind of Briancon, you make a procession through the city streets, which attracts a large number of faithful. In fact, the sanctuary of the Consolata is the most beloved by Torinesi.
