Quadrilatero Romano, Turin

(380+ reviews on the web)
Neighborhood
Quadrilatero Romano, or the Roman Quarter of Turin, contains many popular restaurants, wine bars, and hotels. A Roman fort enclosed this area long ago. The grid arrangement of the narrow streets makes this area recognizably Roman in the present day. You’ll find ruins of Roman walls, as well as two preserved polygonal towers with 16 sides each. Take the time to stroll here and have a meal, a glass of wine, or Italian ice cream. For Quadrilatero Romano and beyond, use our Turin trip builder to get the most from your Turin vacation.

  • The area is full of restaurants and entertainment for the evening. From the standpoint of sightseeing but the interest is medium-low. Aside from the Porta Palatina, the little that remains of Roman ruins next to the Cathedral and behind the Royal Palace is not worth it, unless you throw a quick look right because it passes in the middle of moving from the Royal Palace and the Cathedral in the direction of Porta Palazzo.

  • Nice area close to the city centre by Porta Palatina and Roman excavations. Always worth a visit, walking and there is a park nearby.

  • Very well maintained, near Piazza Castello. Where has a lot of restaurants. It's worth checking out.
