Pinacoteca Giovanni e Marella Agnelli, Turin

#18 of 45 in Museums in Turin
Admire the collection of art belonging to one of Italy's most famous couples at Pinacoteca Giovanni e Marella Agnelli. Rising from an old industrial complex, the museum building--one of Turin's most recognizable buildings--represents a unique feat of modern architecture, purposely designed to house the works of art collected by industrialist Giovanni Agnelli and his wife Marella, a world-famous socialite. See over 20 works, both sculptures and paintings, created by renowned masters such as Canaletto, Antonio Canova, Henri Matisse, and Pablo Picasso. In addition to the permanent collection, the museum regularly hosts various temporary exhibits; check online to see the full schedule. You can pick up multilingual audio guides or take a guided tour of the museum for an additional fee. To find out how to plan a trip to Turin, use our trip itinerary maker.

  • Is a small gem the pinacoteca Agnelli. Very few works ... but IT works! Let's talk about the likes of Canaletto, Matisse, Canova ... for me is a must if you go from here. Up to 3 September in the same structure there is the exhibition "hero's journey", where there is a display of Greek vases. Recommend that you visit the Gallery while there's still the view because the view is beautiful and why the pinacoteca you visit in no time, so it makes sense to pair it to a second visit. In addition the bookshop is well stocked and the ticket office of the Gallery can also be accessed from the historic test track of fiat, from where you have a beautiful view of Turin (I enclose two photographs taken from there). Recommended!

  • Small gallery with some nice pieces
  • Small gallery containing art jewelry from 600 to 900: Picasso, Matisse, Modigliani, Canaletto, Bellotto, dance. The permanent collection is of great quality, but limited to 6 salt around. They also organize temporary exhibitions, the latest on Rosemarie Trockel is well worth the visit. 3 hours free parking (inquire about sectors) by visiting the pinacoteca. Easy to reach by public transport
