The Museum is nice and not too expensive (7euros for student fare) and the panoramic view is simply stunning.

Come to monte dei cappuccini, for once (since I had time) I decided to try visiting the Museum of the mountain. Let me start by saying that I'm not fond of winter sports or mountaineering, mountain alive and I lived mostly in summer. I entered without too many expectations, but I was hoping to emerge from the visit, maybe with some prodding some stimulus, from which to start to delve into this and that argument. Well, I must say that I have received a few good stimulus. I don't know if for not very rich, somewhat "minimal", or for the few explanations, but I must say that the visit did not add much to my (little) fun facts with respect to certain topics related to mountain. The feeling of a tale that could be done much better, with more materials and more interaction, remains. I hope some rearrangement can involve even the newbies of the mountain, not only for those who already have the mountain knows and loves her. Friendly staff but outrageous ticket price! Nice view from above, but basically it is not one that can justify the cost of the ticket (the views from the Hill of Turin from different heights are wasted and are free of charge).

Great experience at the Museum of the mountain. First I would like to point out the ticket girl, smiling. The Museum is very interesting, there are relics of past expeditions, reconstructions of typical mountain constructions, paintings, photos and a very interesting part about the 2006 Winter Olympics. Ma...il best is yet to come! I can't wait to go back once they finally on display the entire collection Bonatti!!! Breathtaking view for Turin that adds even more to visit.

  • Go up on a good weather day, the views are the best
  • Amazing museum with a lot of history. Here you can find the history of Alpine brigade! And also from the terrace, you could see the mesmerising view of Torino. Especially the night view is amazing!
  • Great view of Alps from roof top with markings of specific mountains on hand railing to correspond with view!
  • Great place to visit if you are in downtown Turin, especially at sundown to enjoy the city view.
  • Before arriving here you will toil on foot to arrive and do the faciloni and drive. Then enjoy the beautiful view of Turin hoping to be a beautiful day. Then enter this museum that shows you step by step the difficulties of the mountain, today as yesterday, climbing a mountain, although the technology helps us, it is a religious experience, hard, magical. Not to mention the many temporary exhibitions that the Museum holds
