Museo Nazionale del Cinema, Turin
Categories: Specialty Museums, Museums
A movie lover's paradise, Museo Nazionale del Cinema covers the industry from its earliest days to the present. The museum's huge exhibit space covers five floors. Among a huge array of movie memorabilia, you can see the original cape worn by actor Christopher Reeve in the movie "Superman." Recline in a comfortable chair in one of the screening rooms to watch special showings of experimental and classic Italian films. The museum also displays a growing collection of film posters, reels, books, and photos. You can ride the museum's panoramic elevator, which covers about 75 m (246 ft) in less than 60 seconds and offers 360-degree views of the area. One of the best thing to visit in Milano ! - one floor dedicated to the history of cinema but definitely not boring at all - another floor dedicated to Italian films ( you can watch small extracts on sofas) - the glass elevator which brings you on the top of the building is something !
Amazing! Lots of fun little interactive exhibits, with most of it in English. Only downside is some of the video displays are dubbed over in Italian. Also make sure to go up the scenic elevator, the view is great.
Se vieni a Torino immancabile
The view at the very top is beautiful! However, nothing really amazing about the cinema itself, and it could be so because I am not an Italian cinema enthusiast. They do have very comfy chairs to rest on and watch movies, or have a nap!
The best cinema museum I've been and one of the best and most intersting museums in Europe! Strongly recommended!
