Where to start ... The idea of the Museum probably stems from wanting to remember and not forget the experiences of prisoners during World War II. Unfortunately, the prison was used as such until the end of the 80 (until 2003 the female arm). This is to say that the walls, mattresses, and all the utensils were changed and repainted, and so has lost a vital piece of history. Missing totally the customization of cells by detainees. The feeling is that something was missing. It is difficult to associate the idea of the ss in German arm when inside cells are remnants of posters of George michael. The voluntary tour guide was extremely available. But unfortunately the lack of security staff inside the Museum gave way to people without respect to write freely on walls with a pen. Speechless.

The first prison in Italy of its kind. Volunteers are able to inspire and evoke thoughts and emotions experienced by the detainees, throughout the tragedy experienced in the different moments of history (especially during World War II). Terrible and fascinating at the same time, I had the chills. I had to translate the visit to two girls who came from Australia and I identified myself in translating. Exciting! Well worth a visit to the Bunker, I have not yet made "sacred and profane", but I'm curious about. A blast from the past.

Our history, much of our history, the history of our country in a context that leaves a mark even before entering! Louis (volunteer and Guide) that immediately apologized saying he had nothing to do with the story because he worked for 40 years in the world of Electronics has been nothing short of amazing! Look him in the eye as he spoke it was as if he had actually lived those years in person, knowledgeable and efficient! The place is well worth a visit and no matter whether you are sensitive or not, in front of certain fact none or almost couldn't hold their emotions!

  • If you are visiting Turin, this place is worth your time, as you will see first hand how people were kept during the fascism in this prison. A little far away from the very city center, but it's worth the time
  • Ok
  • To visit absolutely! Part of history! Very interesting and very educative experience.

  • Great Museum, where one does not come to admire works of art, but to better understand the Italy, the resistance, the Nazi occupation, the period of the Red Brigades, the misery and the greatness of the human soul. The old prisons, in disuse for some years, can only be visited by guided tour. Are currently offered three locations: the classic style of the prisons (daily at 15, without reservation), the visit of the air-raid shelter and routes "between the sacred and the profane" (both only on weekends and by appointment only). In daily visits we speak of the architectural structure and the history of prisons, with special attention to the period of the war. Focused on then on the stories of prisoners, the victims of Nazism, partisan political prisoners who were sentenced to death in this place. We talk about those who rescued and helped those people, the monks and nuns. The path is very touching, even thanks to the ability of the guides. Practical info: you can't take pictures inside prisons. -You can find parking in front of the prison. -Length of visit: 2 hours-prisons are not heated, and then in the winter it is very cold.

  • A place to visit, dedicated to the memory. Escort Guide, all the way, well prepared. To dramatically improve the waiting room cramped and on warm days the limit of practicality.
