  • It's a very moving experience, when he reads the letters of the various partisans sentenced, while you see the cells where they have spent their last days, we moved easily. To see.

  • If you happen to go to visit the Museum of prisons the new. Meanwhile, is run by volunteers which emphasizes dedication to spreading a memory that should not be missed. The tour lasts about 45 minutes but are enough to imagine what it was, until a few years ago, being subject to protective order. Cold, hungry, insects ... Fear ... Inhumanity ... Although they could be guilty persons. You have to remember that, in the past more frequently now, the reasons for detention were not necessarily "legitimate". Worth the effort to visit this hostile environment that is presented as it was then. It is worth to remember and learn from our mistakes.

  • Great Museum, where one does not come to admire works of art, but to better understand the Italy, the resistance, the Nazi occupation, the period of the Red Brigades, the misery and the greatness of the human soul. The old prisons, in disuse for some years, can only be visited by guided tour. Are currently offered three locations: the classic style of the prisons (daily at 15, without reservation), the visit of the air-raid shelter and routes "between the sacred and the profane" (both only on weekends and by appointment only). In daily visits we speak of the architectural structure and the history of prisons, with special attention to the period of the war. Focused on then on the stories of prisoners, the victims of Nazism, partisan political prisoners who were sentenced to death in this place. We talk about those who rescued and helped those people, the monks and nuns. The path is very touching, even thanks to the ability of the guides. Practical info: you can't take pictures inside prisons. -You can find parking in front of the prison. -Length of visit: 2 hours-prisons are not heated, and then in the winter it is very cold.

  • If you are visiting Turin, this place is worth your time, as you will see first hand how people were kept during the fascism in this prison. A little far away from the very city center, but it's worth the time
  • Molto interessante
  • We had the great pleasure of visiting this Museum, the guides are highly skilled, friendly and helpful. The visit is very interesting, for now is one of the most interesting museums I've visited in Turin. Highly recommended

  • It is a place steeped in history, of suffering and patriotism, the visit is d.. lest we forget the evil of the past and who has struggled to defend an idea. The guided tour (at 15) takes about two hours and attendants are all volunteers.
