NOT just a Museum, but a true concentrate of art works by more than 400 years old beautiful and charming, you'll see paintings and sculptures and furnishings really incredible beauty, but given the vastness of museum visits are not recommended with tight shoes or high heels, I know you'll thank me for suggesting negotiations;-)

I'm lucky and the gallery was enriched with a fine view "the wonders of the world", which features a nice selection of amazing collection of artworks, started on the end of the 16th century by Duke Carlo Emanuele I in the new capital Turin. Beautiful and interesting art gallery (but not find works sums), however, lacks that little bit more attention to "customer" that I found at the Egyptian Museum. Given that the average target is definitely "ultra", some sober seat wouldn't hurt: many vintage sofas, dusty here and absolutely forbidden. And to have a glass of water, you have to cross the same unadorned rooms and corridors, returning to the exit, the small inconspicuous bar Central Court. Maybe people don't realize that it is almost impossible for a human being of intermediate level, enjoy in just a single visit to everything that gives you one ticket: Galleria Sabauda, Palazzo Reale, archaeological museum. So why not divide them into three tickets but well organized, with the right locations and services you need?

Located in the New Channel of the Royal Palace, the Savoy Gallery host the works collected over the centuries know Savoy. The Madonna and child by Mantegna and the Annunciation by Orazio Gentileschi. Not all works are always open to visitors, as exhibited in rotation. The Gallery can be visited with the joint admission to the Royal Museums of Turin and is probably in drawings in the library the highlight of polo. From your guided tour within the works.

  • Fantastic gallery featuring many great works on three levels. You'll need a couple of hours to complete it, but it's well worth the tour. We happen to get in for free on Sunday, but I'm not sure if it's every Sunday.
  • It's the archeological museum of Turin. It has amazing paintings. And this place is huge!
  • The museum doesn't have the best collection ever compared to other galleries, but the exposition is well done with nice descriptions. The museum is big, so it will take time to visit it all.
  • Interesting museum in Turin, with some remarkable paintings but still it's not the best art collection in Europe. To be highlighted is the Italian, Dutch and Flemish collections.
  • The visit will take half a day but it's really worth. The only drawback the lack, for now, a convenience store along the way. By accessing this pole of museums a historical journey accompanies tourists through the splendour of the Savoy's Kingdom. The furnishings and magnificent rooms in which lived the Savoy, the collections of arms of male members of the Royal household, a magnificent picture gallery "La Galleria Sabauda", and then, farther back in time, until Roman times where you admire furnishings and mosaic floors unearthed in a patrician villa. This does not end here, there is still the archaeological museum where a spiral path leads us to the dawn of history of humans who inhabited these lands. Last but not least: the Royal gardens recently given new life to allow tourists to stroll and relax and let us not forget that for fans then there is also the real Fantastic library! What more can you want?
