  • Via Garibaldi 25 is the entrance to the chapel of merchants, Shopkeepers, bankers. There are 12 large paintings (one in the sacristy) representing the Nativity. The frescoed vault, requires quite a bit of time to understand the meaning of the author. There are six statues of beautiful wood from various authors. Must not miss this gem to those visiting Turin and Turin. I went there twice but I will come back with more calm.

  • I recently discovered the chapel of bankers and merchants in Turin. Recently restored is a beautiful example of Baroque art. Besides being a place of Catholic worship is also host to concerts on Saturday afternoons and preserves the unique perpetual calendar of Plana dating back to 1831 and which allows for the calculation of any date, moon phases and tide from the year 1 to the year 4000. A real surprise mostly unknown to many, but worth seeing guided by the staff (mostly volunteers) who are very prepared and available

  • I came back to visit this hidden jewel just got word of the reopening after restoration. It was already beautiful before, let alone now with all the frescoes restored! Unfortunately until late April visits are limited to Thursday and Saturday from 15 to 18 and Sunday from 10 to 12. On the other hand of highly trained volunteers do make a guided tour that allowed me to see, for the first time, the premises of the sacristy. Here, in addition to a beautiful ancient wine press and a curious URN for elections, there is a real masterpiece: the "perpetual calendar" by Giovanni Plana, distinguished Piedmontese mathematician of 800. This tool, about the size of a picture, using a roller system enables you to locate any day from the year zero year 4000, and tides and lunations: for the amount of data and for their precision is considered the forerunner of the modern computer. The entrance and the visit is free, but a tip is recommended.

  • Outstanding. Of historical and artistic interest in the city of Turin is impossible not to take it for a spin if you are located in the city center. highly recommended! Unfortunately now under restoration, the work should end around September of 2016
