  • It is located in piazza Corpus Domini, near the Town Hall is in piazzaCastello, then in the historic center. It is a beautiful baroque church, built to commemorate a miraculous event occurred in that place on 6 June 1453. Begun in 1603 designed by Ascanio Vitozzi, was completed in 1675 and has a pretty impressive façade in marble where were laid several statues, designed by Bernardo Falconi and realized in the second half of the 18th century. Between the second and third chapel on the left there is a plaque commemorating the exact site of the miracle and around which was built the basilica. The Interior has a single nave, comprises six chapels, three on each side, and is richly decorated with paintings and frescoes, most of which are performed by the Turin painter Luigi Vacca. In short, a beautiful church to visit, certainly the symbol of the great Catholic faith.

  • Very beautiful.
  • Thus it was renamed following the miraculous event that took place in 1453. According to legend, on 6 June of that year he arrived in Turin a thief who had ransacked the Church of Exilles but, now in this square, the Mule carrying the load he stood, it poured and monstrance stole hovered a host who stopped in midair; only the Bishop of Turin, with many supplications and prayers, managed to descend the host that rested in a glass.
