Armeria Reale, Turin

(4.7/5 based on 750+ reviews on the web)
Armeria Reale contains one of the richest collections of weapons in the world, focused on the 16th through the 18th centuries. These objects came from the collection of Charles Emmanuel I. Check out his equestrian armor and the jousting armor of Emanuele Filiberto of Savoy. You’ll find approximately 250 flags here, as well. Stand on the balcony for a bit of history: Charles Albert stood here to declare war on Austria, an event that ultimately lead to the unification of Italy. Consider the joint ticket for the Royal Palace, which allows entrance to here and the Galleria Sabaud. Armeria Reale is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our online itinerary creator, Turin Edition.

  • The Royal Armoury is part of the guided tour of the Royal Palace, residence of the Royal families of Italy and in my opinion is the most important and spectacular of the entire visit. Armor and weapons of all kinds, horses and riders, nicely arranged in a gallery that brings together in a single glance. indescribable feeling. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.

  • I visited the Royal armoury during the "Sunday of the museums", so with free entry but it would definitely be worth it to pay the ticket! Fascinating collection even for someone like me, has no particular knowledge of weapons. Represents very well an important piece of our history. I recommend absolutely to visit it!

  • The Armory is part of a journey that will take you to visit the Castle. The Armory is an interesting collection of weapons of many eras, which manages to be interesting for all ages, including teenagers. Better know a little history, to appreciate it at its best, but it is not required.

  • It's quiet a big and beautiful museum. It has a lot of weapons and artilleries from the past. Also the soldiers armory and life like horses could be seen here.
  • Just amazing
  • A collection of arms and armor at prestigious horse and great beauty. The exhibition is extremely effective and spectacular. Explored inside the tour of the Royal Palace, is not to be missed and deserves attention. I don't remember other examples of thematic collections so well exposed
