Kept in wooden structures in Savoyard style ancient texts from 700 up to the present day are perfectly preserved and visible through glass cabinets. Exciting natural height statue of Cavour and King Victor Emmanuel III dominate in the kids ' room, manuscript edict Albertino, donation of Savoy and Nice to France etc

  • A room of the Palace designed by Juvarra court archives air force Museum houses the State archives, which collects the documentary history of eleven centuries, from 726 to the 19th century. The oldest document kept dates back to that time and is the founding document of the Abbey of Novalesa (in Val di Susa). The Museum was set up for a specific political and ideological design defined, namely the celebration of dynastic glories of the House of Savoy and the exaltation of political project culminated in the establishment of the unitary State. Through the display of important documents relating to the history of Savoy, was built a path with a link between past and present. Even today the visitor, whether the specialist is the most novice, is fascinated by the precious documents on display and is introduced to a path that goes from the first glimpses of the history of Piedmont to the House of Savoy, to the remote origins of the documents of the unification of Italy. It is the 3° State archives in importance in Italy. The sheer volume of documents collection is so vast to get length well 83 km. shelving!! A must see at least once in their lifetime.

  • A journey into the past. Wanted by the Savoy as a place to keep records of the Kingdom and then to the nation. Amazing wooden shelving containing thousands of volumes. Is chiarmente not a Museum, but an archive, then following the procedures you can consult historical texts. When open is certainly worth a visit.
