Lago di Tovel, Tuenno

(4.9/5 based on 700+ reviews on the web)
Take in the scenery of Lago di Tovel, a sparkling blue lake surrounded by forests. You can spend hours hiking leisurely along the path that encircles the lake. The largest in the Trentino area, the lake is considered a jewel of the Adamello Brenta Nature Park, and has been recognized as a wetland of international importance under the 1980 Ramsar Convention. Swimming is not permitted at the lake, but it does make an excellent setting for a picnic. Plan to see Lago di Tovel and other attractions that appeal to you using our Tuenno trip itinerary planner.

  • Many years ago I had visited this Lake and I promised myself to go back to enjoy the landscape with the care it deserves, it did. After eating lunches, we walked along the path that runs alongside the Lake admiring the show truly reflected in the water forest, a natural spectacle, the trail meets a wonderful and varied alpine flora, pity that not you more colors of red algae have died but the show remains beautiful.

  • I visited with my wife, the Lake is still frozen, a sight to see people walk on it with a background of dolomite rock. Wonderful experience

  • A nature's paradise! Completely frozen and covered with snow. Worth doing all the way out to admire it.

  • A must see in the Dolomites on July you mush park the car in a parking area and pay for it and for the bus that takes you to the lake - that's OK, since the lake is more quiet. You can easily walk around the lake )some of it is good for strollers or wheelchairs too) for about an hour or so. We even got into the frrrreeeeezing water. In mid July it was beautiful and felt quite empty/
  • SPETTACOLARE...il Lake route is circular and long 5.5 km all about equality, but only a sudden (coming right) on ghiaiata...il road rest is by foot. On the road to get there are paid parking fee which also includes shuttle service. Useful for those farther away ... I don't recommend if you have the misfortune of arriving "late" and found her in the first to walk the Lake because the path is in the midst of a stony (beautiful lunar landscape but under the Sun is less so).

  • Very organized for peak influx. You leave your car in a paid parking (8 €), and use the bus. Alternatively you can reach the Lake through the trail's le giare.
