  • If you would like to enjoy Trieste (s) from above and also some movement it may be, then the via Vicentina (named also Strada Napoleonica) the ideal Weg.Man runs best with the bus from Piazza Oberdan to the Obelisk. From there, leads the way (without car traffic and only with a few cyclists) Obelisk to the Borgo San Nazario and is about 4 km long and about 300 m above the sea level. You can take splendid photos and also properly climb the cliffs after about 3.5 km. At the end of the road, there's a small trattoria where you can eat everything from Espresso to complete typical Karst meal or drink. From there you can drive down again with the bus in the city. Of course could also drive up to the Obelisk drive, turn off the car (parking for 10 cars), then later again then go back.
