  • Who believed to visit interiors of vintage trains or photos you will be faced with something very different. the trains displayed on sunny tracks are torn apart by rust and neglect. The urinary system main lobby was occupied by the Habsburg certainly no model trains. The model of the original station was upgraded to a corner with bags tossed in bulk. The Museum is very technical and for insiders ... expect the restoration confident!

  • Very nice to see species for kids that make so many questions! And it's nice to be able to respond! Always fun to visit and never tiring

  • Those interested in trains must go quickly because then it will be closed for at least one year for absolutely necessary and urgent renovation! In addition to the Museum and wander among the coaches will find a happy exterior and Austrian models GARRATT designs manufactures beautifully.

  • This museum is in an old train station, which is not in the best condition. Inside you will found quite a few model railway, a lot of used clothes, some switches and other stuff. In the railway platform you will found a lot of steam, diesel and electric locomotives. But they are not in the best shape, many are full of rust, only one is restored at the time of my visit. This museum is run by enthusiasts and not by railway company so with this information in mind and guessing that their budget is not very large, they are doing a great job at preserving railway history.
  • Lovely train museum. Lots of hitory stuffs for train. Train models are very retailed.
  • Very interesting Museum, dioramas and history sections of the railway lines. Should be preserved and maintained better, for this 4 stars and not 5. Absolutely commendable the work of volunteers.

  • Railway Museum with many objects and dioramas, some plastics and a rail Park a bit neglected. Thanks to the guy who made my son entertained with toy trains.

  • Part of the building is crumbling and it's a truly unfortunate, but inside the museum exudes truly a piece of history of Italy, outside there are very interesting. If you love trains, or is your child, is a imperdibil. ATTENTION opening hours 9-13

Where to stay in Trieste

Trieste's historical town center is filled with a host of hotels boasting comfortable rooms with panoramic views of the surrounding area. Hotels in this zone also tend to be pricey and often require booking well in advance. If you are traveling on a budget and prefer not to forge your plans months in advance, consider staying at a private guesthouse or B&B. Trieste's family-run operations not only provide spacious rooms and access to private outdoor space, but also serve their guests with insider tips about the city's less-known bars, restaurants, and historical sites.
