  • If you are in Trieste you must not miss the experience of an evening at the Observatory. It is already interesting small historical exhibition at the entrance, waiting for the beginning of your visit. Very good and patients the two astronomers who led the Group (there were several children, but they knew how to handle them very well). Despite the intermittent presence of some clouds (October), we could see some slices of heaven: really nice. Professional but understandable explanations that were provided. I believe that if possible, it would remain all night! Will definitely stay here again and in the meantime, my sincere thanks to the two "hosts".

  • One of the biggest telescopes. Guided tour of the special Margherita Jack dell basovizza Observatory. We booked our visit online. Want to do that because the number is limited to 25 people. Started at 22 and then ... .. tandel opens the dome and we ... Nelli space. Guided by the funny and helpful astronomers of Inaf we were able to see Jupiter Saturn and some star clusters. A great experience that will elevate ...! Council visit with kids in tow. After about 2 hours ends, we go out and seems to get out ... a dream with eyes wide open. Congratulations!

  • If Trieste offers excellence in this field of research is due especially to Margherita Hack that in the 1960s he developed here studies and conducted the research activities of the observation station promoting then the construction of a new and more modern Center at Bosovizza, called Urania Karst, whose activity is resumed recently after a break of five years. The structure of the historic site has significant architectural and historical connotations as to be nominated Castle is located in the District of San Vito Basevi. Here on the main tower is installed for years the main telescope for watching comets while in the dome that is seen in the photographs that I attach more modern telescopes were installed subsequently along with equipment for seismology and meteorology. A Must so for lovers of the Galaxy.
