  • If you are in Trieste you must not miss the experience of an evening at the Observatory. It is already interesting small historical exhibition at the entrance, waiting for the beginning of your visit. Very good and patients the two astronomers who led the Group (there were several children, but they knew how to handle them very well). Despite the intermittent presence of some clouds (October), we could see some slices of heaven: really nice. Professional but understandable explanations that were provided. I believe that if possible, it would remain all night! Will definitely stay here again and in the meantime, my sincere thanks to the two "hosts".

  • One of the biggest telescopes. Guided tour of the special Margherita Jack dell basovizza Observatory. We booked our visit online. Want to do that because the number is limited to 25 people. Started at 22 and then ... ... ... tandel Dome opens and we ... Nelli space. Guided by friendly and helpful astronomers of Inaf we were able to see Jupiter Saturn and some star clusters. A great experience that I ... elevates! Council visit with kids in tow. After about 2 hours, and we leave ends seem to quit ... a dream with eyes wide open. Congratulations!

  • If Trieste offers excellence in this field of research should be primarily to Margherita Hack that developed here in the 1960s and directed studies research activities of promoting observation station then the construction of a new and more modern Bosovizza Centre, called Urania Karst, which resumed recently after a break of five years. The structure of the historic site has architectural and historical features of importance enough to be named Basevi and Castle is located in the District of San Vito. Here on the main tower is installed for years the main telescope for watching comets and in the dome that one sees in photographs that were attached subsequently installed the most modern telescopes along with equipment for seismology and meteorology. A Must for lovers of then Galaxy.
