  • I am a lover of history and for many years I was hoping to see the collection of Henriquez. So I finally learned of the room of the same, the first opportunity of a trip to Trieste to finally visit. The media exposed are very interesting for with my sum disappointment are only part of the entire collection limited in substance to those of the first war. Nowhere is there an indication of exposure bias and so at some point, as we would expect to continue the visit, we find ourselves faced with a sign indicating a future arrangement of the rest of the media concerning the second war which I believe constitute the part he consisting of collection; and an indication of the output! I asked if it was at least possible to visit the means in stock but was told that no one can access. Whereas the Museum is located in a former barracks where no shortage of spaces I find it really sad that after so many years Trieste has failed to exploit a historic capital so important, and that in any case the partiality of exposure may not be reported,

  • Military-historical Museum is located relatively far from the Center, in the northern part of the city (public transport is just one bus route, get 10-15 minutes). The first floor contains information on the first world war-pretty rich and interesting exposition. Italy's participation in the war was the Izoncskom (Sochaskom front) 1915-1917 Gg., wrestling Ernest Hemingway described in his novel "farewell to arms". Trieste was the dnester Austro-Hungarian side (its main naval base on the Mediterranean). On the second floor of the Exposition "Trieste in 1914-1954", i.e. including and the events of the second world war, but this exhibition is very poor and is represented in bits and pieces. For example, there isn't even a mention of the German system of underground facilities beneath the city. Uniforms, documents and toy models of German military equipment-here's entire arsenal, which complements the German 172 mm howitzer, based on a platform in front of the Museum. Can you recommend a visit to this Museum, but only if you have enough time to visit Trieste.

  • I loved it! the two floors are arranged starting from the pre-WWI period up to the years ' 60. I found it interesting because full of documents, articles, advertisements, political ads of the time. the only flaw is that I visited on a sweltering July day and the air conditioning was broken (we were alerted after buying your ticket): I think in there had been 40 degrees ... I hope I have it repaired;)
